I had a great time at the Highland Games on Canada Day. The event was full of tradition, with impressive displays of music, dance, and athletic skill. It’s always nice to see so many people come together to celebrate our shared heritage.
I was also honoured to take part in the 25th anniversary celebration of the twinning between Tamsui, Taiwan and Oxford County. It was a meaningful moment to recognize the lasting friendship between our communities, and to reflect on the legacy of George Leslie Mackay, whose roots in Oxford and impact in Taiwan continue to bring us closer together.
